NAB signs Value Statement for the Advertising and Marketing Industry

Following a process that started in 2001, the Advertising and Marketing Industry took a giant step toward transformation on the 23rd of April 2003 with the signing of a Value Statement that commits it to the following values:
- Inclusivity and diversity
- Soul of the nation
- Respect and Human dignity
- Business and people`s needs
- Responsible creativity


Under the auspices of the Government Communication and Information Service (GCIS) the NAB together with various other stakeholders became a signatory to the Value Statement on 23 April 2003. This also signalled the establishment of Steering - and Monitoring Committees that will oversee the process of transformation in the build-up to the mid-year plenary session planned for August. The NAB has been actively participating in the process of the transformation in the advertising and marketing industry and will continue to do so through its representation on the steering committee. The relevant government departments will also continue their involvement by consulting with the industry and then brief Cabinet and table proposals on a framework for transformation.
