History:
East Rand Stereo was born in 1995, shortly after the launch of community radio in South Africa. From the initial humble beginnings in the Avenues shopping center in Springs and the shoebox-sized studio with one office also serving as the reception area, to our current double story building in Casseldale, Springs … East Rand Stereo has indeed become a voice to be reckoned with.
Today, we boast a state-of-the-art live studio with RCS (Radio Computer Software), two production studios, a fully operational newsroom and news team, various administration offices, two outside broadcasting units and an active sales team.
Coverage Area:
East Rand Stereo is a community radio station broadcasting on 93.9 FM Stereo, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
We broadcast in English and Afrikaans covering the greater Ekurhuleni area.
