History:
Over the past ten years Radio Tygerberg has been a great blessing to thousands of people. The history of Radio Tygerberg goes back to the early eighties when after I stood in awe on Tygerberg hill and looked out over the millions of city lights, I realized that every little light presents a person who needs to hear the Gospel.The idea of a Gospel radio station was born there that night. However, a long and arduous road of negotiation lay ahead and at last the efforts were crowned with the permission from authorities to broadcast. Since our very first broadcast over the ether it has been one long success story of continuous growth by the grace of God. Presently we have a daily listener ship of 348 000 valued listeners which undoubtedly makes us the biggest Christian community radio station in South Africa. In all humbleness we can testify that we are growing daily. Thank you for visiting; and as is fitting for a kind host, I want to invite you to visit again soon. Coverage Area:
Radio Tygerberg broadcasts effectively throughout the whole of the Cape Peninsula which includes the Northern Suburbs (Bellville, Parow, Kuilsriver, Durbanville and Milnerton) as well as the Southern Suburbs (Muizenberg, Constantia, Kalk Bay and Simons Town.) We can also be heard as far a field as Malesbury, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Strand and even Grabouw.
