Lesedi FM

Lesedi FM is a broadcasting service of the SABC with its head office in Bloemfontein. It broadcasts in Sesotho.


History:
Radio Bantu was born on 1 June 1960 of which Sesotho language broadcast for an hour through the Afrikaans transmitter. In 1961 FM started and more time was allocted to Sesotho. Later radio Sesotho was born, thereafter Sesotho Stereo which is Lesedi FM today.

Coverage Area:
Transmitters give coverage to the following regions on 87.7 - 90.6 MHz: 46% Free State, 39% Guateng, 9% North West, 4% Eastern Cape, 2% Mpumalanga
