The station broadcasts in Xhosa from Port Elizabeth. It broadcasts betwen 90.7 and 93.6 on FM. Umhlobo Wenene FM is the second largest African language station in South Africa.

The station broadcasts in 7 of the 9 provinces and is the only African language station to broadcast in all the metropoles of South Africa. The greatest proportion of listernship is in the Eastern and Western Cape. Provinces covered are Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Guteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Free State, North West and Northern Cape.
