Youth Community Station that broadcasts to the Nelson Mandela Metropole on a 100 watt transmitter on the FM frequency 107.9. CBFM broadcasts 80% in English and 20% in Xhosa. Regular, news, weather and traffic updates are done and the community notice board provides details on community events taking place. CBFM`s music selection is also very current and offers one of the most diverse music selections in South Africa.

History:
Started off as UPE`s Radio Station, Radio Uppie, privatizing to a Section 21 Company in 1997 and started operating independently as CBFM.

Nelson Mandela Metropole. For those who are unaware: Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, Despatch, Kwa Magake, New Brighton, Motherwell and Kwa`Dwesi.
