Needletime - 2001

To: Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry
On: 09 Oct 2001

The NAB stated, however, that due to the structure of the South African recording industry, the primary beneficiaries of needletime were not likely to be South African artists. In the absence of any comprehensive data on this matter, the NAB developed preliminary scenarios which showed that the benefits of needletime are likely to flow elsewhere.
