CONVERGENCE BILL PUBLISHED FOR COMMENT

At its final meeting for the year, Cabinet approved the Draft Convergence Bill for publication and comment. The Bill was published for public comment in Government Gazette 25806, Notice 3382 of 03 December 2003.





At a launch of the Bill, hosted by the Department of Communications, in Sandton on Wednesday, 03 December 2003, interested parties were briefed on the outcome of the consultation process that resulted in the Bill. Interested parties have until 03 February 2004 to submit comment to the Department of Communications. The Bill can be downloaded from www.doc.gov.za.
