NAB submission on the Regulations and Draft Guidelines relating to the labelling and advertising of foods

On 29 May 2014 the Department of Public Health published gazette No. 37695 which proposed a limitation of advertising for “unhealthy” foods targeting children. In addition, the Department published Draft guidelines to the regulations relating to the labelling and advertising of foods for compliance purpose (R429 of 29 May 2014). Interested persons were invited to submit any substantiated comments or representations on the proposed regulations to the Director General of Health.
