Draft Interconnection Regulation open for comment

Pursuant to Section 4 and 38 of the EC Act and Section 4(3)(j) of the ICASA Amendment Act, the Authority has published draft Interconnection Regulations for public comment.  The closing date for written submissions is 11 Febuary 2008.  The draft regulations exclude broadcasting service licencees from an obligation to interconnect.  This is in pursuance of amoungst others the NAB’s submission to ICASA on 7 September 2007, which was subsequently followed by an oral representation.
