ICASA SEEKS TO AMEND THE REGULATIONS ON SOUTH AFRICAN CONTENT

In the case of Sound Broadcasting Services the proposed amendments also seek to regularise the position of the Public Commercial Services by allowing ICASA to, after consultation with the public broadcaster and for commercial reasons, reduce the quota requirement on music, for a maximum of three public sound broadcasting services, to 25%.



Comments on the proposed amendments should reach ICASA by 06 April 2004
