IIC Telecommunication and Media Forum Conference 8-9 December 2015

On the 8 and 9 December IIC, hosted by ICASA, held a conference in Johannesbug.  The theme of the conference was “Best practice policy and regulatory decision making to drive connectivity, accessibility, affordability and competitiveness in the global economy.  In attendance were regulators from across SADC region and other local and regional bodies. The Executive Director of the NAB participated in a panel discussion on “disruption and transformation in the broadcast pay TV sector implications for infrastructure, for capacity, for policy and regulation:.  She was also on the panel discussion titled: “how is the data and digitisation revolution taking hold in Africa and with what impact on roles and responsibilities for regulators?”  For more information on the IIC, visit their website www.iicom.org.
