NAB attends MTN Media Innovation Summit

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) participated in the MTN Media Innovation Summit which was hosted by the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and the Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study (JIAS) on 18 September 2023. The event was attended by international and local media professionals, as well as academics, civil society, and government.
 
The first round of panel discussions focused on business journalism and media business opportunities in Africa, with four panellists providing South African and African perspectives on the matter.

The second panel focused on the imperatives of development journalism in Africa. Delegates were also taken on an informative tour of the UJ campus and their Milpark TV studios.

This event provided an important platform for regional engagement on challenges facing the news media.
