NAB keen to participate in music industry growth strategies
The MITT report, released on 30 August details over 30 recommendations to address problems in the South African music industry. Top amongst its recommendations is that needletime be introduced.
The NAB is fully supportive of strategies to grow the South African music industry but is concerned by some aspects of the report, including the needletime recommendation, which do not appear to give adequate consideration to the position of broadcasters.
The NAB has reiterated its commitment to engaging in further consultative forums on these matters.
