NAB Members' radio roundtable

On 4 November 2024, the NAB hosted a roundtable with our commercial & community radio members, joined by MDDA CEO Shoeshoe Qhu, who presented the organisation’s Community & Small Commercial Media Sustainability Report. 

NAB Chairperson Nick Grubb, Community Radio Committee Chairperson Wilma van Schalkwyk and Deputy Chairperson Franklin Huizies led the session.

Key topics included preparing the community radio sector for the analogue-to-digital transition, goals of the National Sector Development Plan, and key strategies to support & upskill the industry.

The engagement reflected the NAB’s commitment to a vibrant South African broadcasting landscape, and we look forward to positive developments in this area.
