NAB joins South Africa in mourning distinguished broadcaster Tshidi Madia

The NAB sincerely conveys its deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and associates of EWN’s Associate Editor of Politics and accomplished broadcaster Tshidi Madia.

Madia had also worked at Power FM and News24 as a reporter/presenter and a senior political journalist respectively. Madia also hosted the popular podcast, Politricking With Tshidi Madia, where she interviewed many South African politicians.  

More recently, Madia had reported on the meeting between President Cyril Ramaphosa and US President Donald Trump at the White House in May 2025. Her coverage of the engagement earned her further admiration among South Africans and the global journalistic fraternity alike.  

She will be remembered for the respect with which she treated her craft as a political journalist and her relentless pursuit of truth. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in South Africa’s journalistic and broadcasting landscape.
