NAB welcomes appointment of Solly Malatsi as DCDT minister

The NAB welcomes the appointment of Mr. Solly Malatsi as the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, following the announcement of the National Executive of South Africa’s seventh administration by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 30 June 2024.

Mr. Malatsi has been a member of Parliament since 2014 and has previously served as the DA’s Shadow Minister for Sports and Recreation, Human Settlements, and Communications. He served as the party’s national spokesperson from 2018 – 2020 and was reappointed to this role in June 2022.

He was also the spokesperson for the MEC of Transport and Public Works in the Western Cape Government from June 2009 – May 2011. He has also served as spokesperson for the Mayor of the City of Cape Town from June 2011 – March 2014.
