OPEN LETTER TO ALL MEDIA AND MARKETING INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS

On December 12th 2011, the Marketing Association of South Africa (“MASA”) circulated a letter to all Media Owner associations, and other interested stakeholders, headed “Pending Industry Crisis”. The attached open letter from the NAB is written in response to the MASA letter and is intended to:

1.   Address what the NAB believe are shortcomings and accuracies in the MASA letter.

 2.  Clarify the NAB’s position in regard to the current levy collection system and the funding of SAARF and the ASA.
