SABC Publishes Draft Editorial Policies
In terms of Section 6 of the Broadcasting Act (as amended) to develop policies that are intended to ensure compliance with the Independent Communication Authority`s (ICASA) Code of Conduct, the SABC`s licence conditions and the provisions of relevant legislation. These policies are to be submitted to ICASA no later three months after the date of the SABC`s conversion.
Hard copies of the draft policies can be obtained from the SABC`s various offices or from the SABC website www.sabc.co.za . Written comment on the policies should reach he SABC by no later than 13 June 2003 and can be delivered to any of the SABC`s regional offices. They can also be sent by post to SABC Policies, Private Bag X1, Auckland Park 2006. The can be faxed to 011 714 2253 or e-mailed to policies@sabc.co.za.
