Women Shaping the Future of Broadcasting: Anchen Lintvelt

26 August 2026 | NAB

Anchen Lintvelt, Sales and Marketing Manager at OFM, found her way into radio through print, building a career that has combined commercial success, strategic marketing and a strong commitment to making a difference in the communities OFM serves.

Over the course of her career, Anchen has established herself as an outstanding colleague and leader, developing her leadership strengths through experience and a consistent focus on building meaningful relationships. She is known for driving strategic growth, strengthening customer relationships and translating market insights into campaigns that deliver results for both the business and its audiences.

A key strength of Anchen’s work is her ability to align sales execution with marketing objectives. Through clear positioning, disciplined pipeline management and targeted messaging, she ensures that marketing initiatives support commercial priorities while customer feedback informs future campaigns and product storytelling. Her collaborative approach has helped strengthen both OFM’s revenue performance and its brand presence.

However, Anchen’s impact extends well beyond commercial results. She is passionate about using OFM’s platform to support communities and create meaningful social impact, with Corporate Social Investment (CSI) forming an important part of her work.

Among the CSI initiatives she has helped conceptualise and drive is The Big Cover Up, a blanket drive that raised R320 000 in just 12 hours, providing support to up to 36 old age homes and children’s homes across Central South Africa. She also played a key role in OFM’s Pinktober campaign, which raised R1.2 million during October for CANSA, demonstrating how the power and reach of broadcasting can be harnessed to mobilise audiences around important social causes.

These initiatives reflect Anchen’s belief that broadcasting has a responsibility to do more than entertain and inform. By combining OFM’s audience reach with strategic partnerships and purposeful campaigns, she has helped turn the station’s platform into a vehicle for community support and positive change.

Her leadership is similarly centred on people. Whether mentoring team members or working with internal stakeholders and external partners, Anchen prioritises clarity, accountability and continuous improvement. Her approachable and solutions-focused style helps create an environment where colleagues can grow, while customers feel heard and valued.

Her contribution to OFM has also been recognised through past South African Radio Award wins, reflecting a career built on both professional excellence and meaningful community engagement. As OFM continues to evolve, Anchen remains focused on innovative marketing strategies, strong sales performance and using the power of radio to create lasting value for the communities it serves.

For Anchen, the connection between broadcasting and community is ultimately about ensuring that radio reflects and serves the people who listen to it. As she puts it: “Better broadcasting starts when everyone can see themselves on the air.”
