World Cultural Day for Diversity Dialogue and Development is celebrated annually on the 21st of May as declared by the United Nations to promote cultural diversity. This day aims to advance the following;

>The promotion of human rights and freedom
>Supporting governance for culture sustainable systems
>Integration of culture into sustainable development frameworks
>Increasing the mobility of artists and cultural professionals and achieving a steady flow of cultural goods and services.

Cultural rights are an integral part of human rights and freedom of expression.

Broadcasters play a significant role in promoting and protecting our diverse cultures and national heritage. They ensure that content is provided in all languages to provide a voice for dialogue, expression and development across cultures and across regions.
