WORLD RADIO DAY

On this World Radio Day the NAB celebrates the contribution and positive impact radio brings into millions of lives.

Radio is the most dynamic engaging platform that promotes freedom of speech, diversity & plurality –in providing entertainment, education while fighting the spread of misinformation during the COVID - 19 pandemic.

 In 2021 World Radio Day is celebrated under the theme   ‘New World New Radio’ with the following sub themes;

*Evolution (The world changes radio evolves)

*Innovation (The world changes radio innovates)

*Connection (The world changes radio connects)

UNESCO calls on all radio broadcasters to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of WRD & to honour the significant role played by radio in times of crisis.
