NAB submission on the Electronic Communications Amendment Bill

The NAB supports the proposals made in Sections 2(h) and 5(9)(b) of the Bill to replace the phrase “historically disadvantaged individuals” with the term “broad-based black economic empowerment”. NAB Future of Broadcasting

The key is to define your business properly and not confuse it with the medium - broadcasters provide video or audio content over any network, anywhere, anytime.

Radio Frequency Migration Regulations and Radio Frequency Migration Plan

The purpose of these regulations is to establish the framework by which the Authority may migrate users of the radio frequency spectrum under the National Radio Frequency Plan of South Africa.

Terrestrial Broadcasting Frequency Plan 2013

The Terrestrial Broadcasting Frequency Plan contributes to diversity, amongst others, by ensuring audience access to different categories of broadcasting services on a variety of technological platforms. The Terrestrial Broadcasting Frequency plan attempts to enable Broadcasting Services to provide at least one programme for every citizen in their own language.
